Investment migration — the rule, as checked 24.09.2026
No property route
Mainland China publishes no property route. Permanent residence for investors requires direct investment — registered capital — held three consecutive years with a clean tax record: USD 500,000 in western China, poverty-relief counties or encouraged industries, USD 1 million in central China, USD 2 million elsewhere (USD 1 million in Shanghai). A home is not direct investment.
Where the sources disagree
Thresholds are published as USD amounts by the National Immigration Administration's local offices and as 'typically over RMB 10 million' by one adviser.

This jurisdiction in the register
13 records, 8 with a published page. Each record carries the facts this rule turns on — entry price, seller, and where the rule distinguishes them, first sale, fractional sale, construction status, tenure — each dated and sourced.
The register publishes the rule and the facts; it does not say whether any purchase qualifies. Eligibility attaches to a sale, not to a building, and the register is not immigration counsel. All jurisdictions →
