Dallas, United States. Rosewood. A homecoming to the block where the brand began — and a unit count that fell from 46 to 33.
The count was published four times and dropped every time. *Approximately 46 residences* in Rosewood's own launch release of February 2023; *just 39 homes* at groundbreaking that October; and 33 in the 2025 financing announcement, in the brand's current ownership page and in the trade press.
A count that declines across three years is not a correction of fact but a record of design. Units were combined or enlarged as the market answered, and the register carries the series rather than the last figure alone — the same reason it records the Houston developer's remark that buyers there are merging apartments.
Seventeen storeys at 3555 Dickason Avenue, a block from the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek — the brand's first property, which makes this a homecoming rather than a rollout. The licence is published in full on the developer's own site, in the strongest wording the register has collected: not owned, developed or sold by Rosewood; the marks used under a licence *terminable according to its terms*; no responsibility or liability assumed; and beyond approving some design concepts for conformity, Rosewood did not develop the design or select any furnishings, fixtures or finishes. Seven brand families now publish this clause.
Who it is not for
Not for a buyer who reads the brand as the builder: Rosewood disclaims development and sale in writing, down to the fixtures. Not for anyone quoting 46 residences — that figure is three years and thirteen units out of date.
