Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Raffles. Two towers bridged by a 155-metre sky pool — promised for 2021.

A swimming pool as a bridge. Nakheel's PALM360 sets two towers of about 260 metres on Palm Jumeirah's crescent — the tallest structure on the island — joined 170 metres up by a 155-metre sky pool that its promoters call the world's largest. Below it: a 125-key Raffles hotel; above and beside it, 359 Raffles residences, sixteen of them penthouses with their own infinity pools, gyms and cinemas, and an ownership programme giving VVIP status across the brand.

It was to open in 2021, and no source reaching the register reports it finished. The counts differ too: 359 residences in the brand and developer releases, 331 in a 2018 construction report; sixteen penthouses in most accounts, twelve four-bedroom penthouses and 252 serviced apartments in the tender record. The register records the announcement's figures and the dates as they stand.

Who it is not for

Not for a buyer who needs delivery: the announced opening passed five years ago without a completion report.
