Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residence · PR-D-081

The island is the address, and there is no road to it. Ummahat lies roughly twenty-six kilometres off the Saudi coast; arrival is by chartered boat or seaplane, and the crossing is priced and scheduled as part of the stay. The Reserve opened in May 2024, the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in the Middle East.

Foster + Partners drew the villas, Wimberly Interiors finished them, and the shell-inspired forms answer the dunes rather than the brand book. The statutory seller is The Red Sea Real Estate Company I LLC, using the Ritz-Carlton marks under licence — the hotel company neither owns nor sells these residences, and says so itself.

The register carries an unresolved count. Two independent published sources put the collection at nineteen villas; a site visit on 5 September 2026 reported eleven, with nine sold. Both figures stand on the record until documents settle it. A register that quietly picks the nicer number is not a register.

Who it is not for

Not for a buyer who wants to arrive by car, or at short notice: every visit is a scheduled crossing. Not for anyone who wants a city within reach — the nearest one is a flight away, and that is the product rather than a limitation.
