Laheq Island, The Red Sea. Four hundred hectares masterplanned by Norman Foster for ownership rather than for hotels — and no residence in it is named yet.
The first island at The Red Sea built to be owned. Laheq is 400 hectares in an archipelago of 92 islands, masterplanned by Foster + Partners under a concept Norman Foster calls the Forever Garden, with two resort hotels — one wellness, one lively — and, in Red Sea Global's own words, luxury apartments and private residences. Completion is stated as 2028. John Pagano, group chief executive, described it as the first island at The Red Sea with a primary focus on resort-style living and property ownership.
The register holds it with almost nothing filled in, deliberately. No unit count, no bedroom ranges, no prices, no tenure, no operator and no name for the residences themselves have been published. A record that says *not established* in eight fields is more use than a record that guesses one of them. And one correction the register makes to the way this project is usually described: Laheq is part of The Red Sea destination, not AMAALA — the two are separate Red Sea Global destinations roughly 150 kilometres apart.
Who it is not for
Not for a buyer at all yet: there is nothing here to buy, and the register says so rather than implying otherwise.
