JORDAN'S ONE LAGOON CITY — Aqaba's shoreline extended with man-made lagoons around a marina, beach clubs and Jordan's first 18-hole course, by Greg Norman, opened 2017; a USD 1.4 billion scheme planning some 1,500 hotel rooms and 3,000 homes, of which the Golf Residences are 179. THE NUMBER 17 TRAVELS BETWEEN SOURCES: a 17 km lagoon in Hyatt's release, 17 km² of area in Wikipedia, 17 km of new shoreline in the developer's own interview — while Hyatt puts the site at 432 hectares, a quarter of 17 km². The register records all three and the area as contested. THE DEVELOPER SAID IN 2016 that two waterfront components let owners moor their own boat; the register holds that as the developer's statement, not as a berth conveyed with title.
