Montage began here in 2003, and the residences beside it are fewer than any other Montage in the register: fourteen bungalow-style condominiums and thirteen private Ocean Estates on the coastal bluff south of the village, in the Arts & Crafts manner of the resort. One listing asks USD 29 million.
The hotel has changed hands three times while the name stayed: Ohana Real Estate Investors sold it in January 2015 for USD 360 million — then a California record per room — to Strategic Hotels & Resorts, which Blackstone bought later that year; Tilman Fertitta bought it in 2022. Montage has managed it throughout. The residences are a separate ownership from the hotel, and nothing in the sources ties their title to any of those sales.
The unit count comes from a single brokerage; bedroom counts and an entry price are not published.
