Membership is available exclusively to property owners. It conveys with ownership rather than being applied for — the exact opposite of Ocean Reef, where three sponsors and a vote stand between the contract and the club. The register separated the two values today because of these two records.

Eight hundred and sixty-five oceanfront acres on the Kona-Kohala coast, begun in 1994 with the Four Seasons opening in 1996; by 2016 it reported 193 villas and 181 lots and homes sold. Two golf courses, a sports club and spa, tennis, and an ocean programme, with priority at the Residents' Beach House and access to all Four Seasons facilities.

One published cost that no brochure leads with: unaccompanied houseguests and rental guests pay a per-person daily resort fee. The register records it against the rental-programme field, because a letting cost stated by the operator is exactly the kind of fact an owner discovers late.
