The top twenty-eight floors of a faceted 340-metre tower, 227 residences under Accor's SO/ brand above a 188-key SO/ hotel — the brand's first in the Middle East, opened in November 2023 — and twenty-two floors of offices. The developer is DMCC, the Dubai free-zone authority, building the first tower of its own Uptown Dubai district; architecture by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill.
The count moved by two and the height by eleven metres between accounts. A 2020 construction update gave 229 residences; the 2023 sales launch and a unit-by-unit breakdown give 227. The tower was reported topped out at 329 metres in February 2022, before its crown, and is 340 metres complete. In June 2023 DMCC offered buyers a free-zone business licence and residence visa — an offer by the developer at the time, not a rule the register publishes as eligibility.
Who it is not for
Not for a buyer who wants a quiet residential address: the tower mixes offices, a hotel and restaurants below the homes.
