A tower that stopped and started again under a watchmaker's name. Begun as 106 Tower, renamed London Gate 1 when London Gate bought it from GGICO, and halted in August 2016 amid financial difficulties, it was relaunched with Franck Muller — the Swiss watchmaker's first real estate project — as Aeternitas, after its most complicated watch. 450 metres and 106 floors in Dubai Marina, 649 residences from studios to sky mansions, with a clock at the crown. One research platform lists GGICO and London Gate together as developers.
The claims are larger than the certainties. Marketed as the tallest branded residential tower and the tallest residential clock tower in the world, and described by one broker as 'officially recognized' as such without saying by whom. A research platform notes that most apartments are unlikely to see the sea, standing directly behind the almost equally tall Marina 101. Launch prices are given as AED 1.6 million and AED 1.75 million; handover as the second quarter of 2027.
Two records claim the same title — see Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences, 557 metres, marketed as the tallest residential building in the world. The register records both claims and adjudicates neither.

Burj Binghatti and Franck Muller Aeternitas claim the same title from different heights: the first, 557 metres, the tallest residential building in the world; the second, 450 metres, the tallest branded residential tower. Aeternitas is a stalled tower revived under a watchmaker's name; Burj Binghatti's height, floor count and schedule vary by source, and a July 2026 headline speaks of a final decision still to come. One card first cited the wrong report for its project — the page had crossed over from its neighbour — and was corrected before publication.
