Cavalli Tower
Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Roberto Cavalli. Four hundred and eighty-five residences over seventy floors — the first Cavalli-branded tower in the world.
Six sources place this building in three different districts. Dubai Marina in four, Al Sufouh in one, Dubai Media City in another. They adjoin, the tower faces The Westin Mina Seyahi, and any of the three is arguable — which is precisely why the register carries all of them rather than picking the one that sells best. The unit mix fares no better: one to three bedrooms in two sources, one to four in a third, two to five in a fourth.
What is settled: DAMAC with Roberto Cavalli, seventy floors, architecture by Shaun Killa, who designed the Museum of the Future. The tower is stacked in three vertical bands — apartments to about the thirty-seventh floor, upper-luxury above, and sky villas with floating terraces at the top. Layouts run 3,942 to 12,807 square feet from AED 16.2m.
Roberto Cavalli died in 2024 and the brand is licensed posthumously. The Library flags that condition as contested on the Karl Lagerfeld entry, and it applies here too. DAMAC's pattern is consistent across its maison towers — it licensed Cavalli, licensed Lagerfeld, and bought de Grisogono outright after the jeweller's 2020 bankruptcy. The developer supplies everything; the name is procured.
Who it is not for
Not for a buyer who wants the address settled: three districts are published for one building, and the difference matters for comparables. Not for anyone who wants a living designer behind the design — the licence outlived him.
