Taymouth Castle

Kenmore, Highland Perthshire. Discovery Land. A restored Campbell castle and some 145 houses on nearly eight thousand acres.

Editorial entry · sources recorded · property confirmation pending

A castle, a village and eight thousand acres. Discovery Land Company — of the Yellowstone Club and The Summit Club in Las Vegas — restored the nineteenth-century Taymouth Castle above Loch Tay by 2024 and is building around it a private golf and sport community of about 145 houses in six phases, on 7,775 acres of Highland Perthshire with 1,000 acres of grounds. It has also bought much of Kenmore village, including the shop, the post office and the hotel, and a holiday park at Aberfeldy for staff.

The record carries the objections as well as the plans. In 2023 the developer was criticised for beginning work on a sewage treatment plant before consent was granted; permission followed with conditions protecting wildlife in the Tay, and the community council has met repeatedly on its applications. The estate is 7,775 acres on the company's website and 8,000 in its own LinkedIn profile; the research named it without a country.

Who it is not for

Not for a buyer who wants no part in a contested development: the estate's planning has been publicly opposed.

23.09.2026 · No country given, run 19 — a Campbell castle, a bought village, and a contested consent

Taymouth Castle in Highland Perthshire is Discovery Land Company's European club community: the nineteenth-century castle restored by 2024 and some 145 houses to come in six phases across nearly eight thousand acres, with much of Kenmore village — shop, post office, hotel — bought by the developer.

30.09.2026 · The atlas answered thirteen, and answering them found sixteen faults here

Applying the rulings exposed something worse in the register. Sixteen published records carried a place slug from another country — Riviera Maya answering to Doha, Taymouth Castle to Perugia, Costa Navarino to Paris — because intake deep-copies a base record and nobody had cleared the field when the new record's place had no entry. An inherited address is not an address. Cleared, repointed where an entry exists, and now guarded: 341 records resolve and agree on country, 111 hold an address in words and nothing between.

01.10.2026 · A refusal that was right in September and stale by the twelfth

HOUSE-RULING-03 and -04 are dated 08.09.2026 and had never been read into this register. Reading §12 against the live files rather than against memory found most of it closed — the twenty-four wrongly reconstructed places rolled back, «— withdrawn —» gone from every code column, the tombstones published. Two things were not.
