Villa De Benedetti, Suvretta

Suvretta, Switzerland. Unbranded. Fifty-two million francs asked for eight years — and then paid.

Editorial entry · sources recorded · property confirmation pending

The most instructive ask in this register, because it is the only one that was eventually met. Carlo De Benedetti's villa on the Suvretta slope carried a CHF 52 million ask for eight years and sold in 2025 to Suvretta Crazy AG, associated with Andrea Stöhr of the crypto sector.

No separate closing figure was printed. Everywhere else an unmet ask stayed unmet — Villa Leopolda at about €390 million, Le Palais Bulles above €300 million, the Tour Odéon Sky Penthouse. Here the market came to the number after eight years, and the register records that the ask and the close were never published apart rather than assuming they were equal.

Suvretta is the Engadine's slope of record: ski-in chalets on scarce plots briefed at CHF 70,000 per square metre and above, in the country's most expensive market at about CHF 52–53,000 per square metre overall.

Who it is not for

Not for a reader treating eight years on the market as failure: the price held. Not for anyone assuming the two figures match — only one was ever published.
