Vesper Tverskaya

Moscow, Russia. A tower that lost its French partner and every mention of it from its own website in the same week.

Editorial entry · sources recorded · property confirmation pending

The brand did not leave the country. It left this cap table. Vedomosti, reported 31 March 2022: the complex «лишился французского партнера Fairmont» and «вся информация о причастности Fairmont к объекту исчезла с сайта». The attributed cause is specific — «в 2020 году 50% долей в комплексе приобрела структура «Сбера», который, как известно, под санкциями». Accor's own group statement of 9 March 2022 suspended all management, booking, distribution, loyalty and procurement services to hotels whose owners appear on sanctions lists while continuing to operate in Russia for some 3,500 staff. It named no project, and no statement by Accor, Fairmont or Vesper about this one has ever been found.

Fairmont's own residences page today names no locations at all. Not Moscow, not anywhere — only generic copy. The register notes that as a fact about the page rather than as evidence about this building, because a directory that lists nothing cannot be read as a denial of one entry. The evidence that the marque is gone is the developer's own deletion of it, which is first-party and which the register treats as the stronger signal.

Three unit counts and two key counts, from three named speakers. Kai Winkler, in an RBC interview of 24 March 2021: «во втором 43 апартамента», with 165 keys. Kommersant, 10 February 2020: «на 167 номеров в комплекс Vesper войдут 42 апартамента». An agent, undated: 36. All five figures are printed and none is adopted — the register's inventory field stays empty. Architect SPEECH, which lists the project on its own site as Vesper Residences; interiors Rockwell Group; spa by Sundukovy Sisters.

And the developer was trying to sell the whole thing before any of this. In February 2020 Vesper was reported to be selling the complex outright — «Девелопер Vesper собирается продать строящийся отель с апартаментами» — at valuations of about EUR 150m from one named consultant and 7 to 7.5bn roubles from another. Vesper declined to comment. A record with three unit counts, no operator since 2022, no stated instrument and a seller who wanted out in 2020 is published because every one of those is attributable, and for no other reason.

Not for a buyer who expects the Fairmont service described in 2021: the partner detached in March 2022 and nobody has replaced it on the record. Not for anyone who needs to know how many apartments there are — three speakers give three numbers.

In the journal

27.10.2026 · A reader asked why a Spanish mountain hotel sells its own rooms. The same question asked of Russia found two marques gone, one that never existed, and a building the courts took.

Russia held five records, all Moscow, and Sochi held none. It now holds twenty-eight. Nine in Sochi, two in Altai, nine more held below V0, and five Moscow records corrected — of which three were published and wrong.
