InterContinental Residences Halong Bay
Halong Marina, Quang Ninh. InterContinental. A hundred and one homes in stone, cut like the bay's own islands.
A building that borrows the bay's geology. WATG clad the InterContinental at Halong Marina in stone and stratified its façades after the limestone pillars of the UNESCO bay in front of it, on four hectares at the southern edge of a 248-hectare masterplan: a 175-room resort with 60 apartments of one to three bedrooms and 41 villas, including a 'sky villa' collection, all lettable through IHG's channels. Signed in 2020 for 2023, it opened in the first quarter of 2025.
Its architects report the residences yielding about USD 7,700 a square metre, which they call the highest in Vietnam's branded market, and an EDGE certificate projecting 31 per cent energy and 27 per cent water savings. It is the register's first record in Vietnam.
Who it is not for
Not for a buyer who wants a private estate: the homes share a working resort and its rental programme.
