The Surrey Residences
East 76th Street, New York. Corinthia. Fourteen homes above a 1926 hotel — the brand's first building in America.
Fourteen homes above a hotel that has been on the corner since 1926. Reuben Brothers bought The Surrey in 2020 for USD 150 million, gutted it with Martin Brudnizki and reopened it in September 2024 as Corinthia's first property in North America — 70 rooms, 30 suites, a Casa Tua and a Sisley spa — with 14 residences of two and three bedrooms above, and a duplex penthouse of 5,200 square feet asking USD 50 million. Thirteen were under contract within six months, at USD 9 to 28 million; the first closings were recorded a year after the hotel opened.
Where the homes begin is given two ways: the eleventh floor, or the top six floors of sixteen. The register records both. The research named it 'Residences at The Surrey, a Corinthia Hotel', without a country.
Who it is not for
Not for a buyer who wants a large collection to choose from: there are fourteen homes and most were spoken for in six months.
