Antares

Diagonal Mar, facing the Mediterranean. Eighty-eight condominiums by Odile Decq — and a project whose own site publishes neither the count nor the address.

Editorial entry · sources recorded · property confirmation pending

The number comes from the developer's corporate page and not from the project's own. Shaftesbury states “88 luxury condominiums facing the Mediterranean Sea”. Antares's own site lists apartment types floor by floor from 02 to 26, says “Designed inside and out by the globally celebrated architect, Odile Decq”, marks the building “READY TO MOVE IN”, and gives no unit total, no street address and no completion date. The register takes the count from the developer and records where it came from.

It is unambiguously for sale, which in this city is the rarer state. The project's own page describes luxury apartments for sale and publishes a price from EUR 1,150,000. Lucas Fox, an agent, gives a from-price of EUR 1,425,000 for the same building. The register carries both and reconciles neither — the two figures are a developer's and an agent's, read on the same day, and the gap of a quarter of a million euros is a fact about who is speaking.

Odile Decq designing a residential tower in Barcelona is the whole of the landmark claim, and the register holds it on the landmark shelf for that reason: no marque, no operator, no service standard, no licence. What the buyer acquires is a building by a named architect on the sea at Diagonal Mar, and the form of title is not stated by anybody.

And it is one of exactly two residences the register could verify as being for sale anywhere in Barcelona — the other being Mandarin Oriental Residences on Passeig de Gràcia, and Casa Burés in the Eixample where the sale is attested only by an agent. A city of this size with two confirmed for-sale residences is a finding about the city, and §106 explains the rest of it: what Barcelona has is rental.

Who it is not for

Not for a buyer who wants the developer's own account of what they are buying: the project site publishes no unit count, no address, no completion date and no tenure. Not for anyone who reads a price-from as settled — the developer's and the agent's differ by EUR 275,000.

15.10.2026 · Barcelona has two residences for sale and four for rent, and the four would not have been records yesterday

The city, swept properly, is close to empty on the sale side and not empty at all on the other. For sale: Mandarin Oriental Residences, re-read at the operator this week, and Antares at Diagonal Mar — 88 condominiums by Odile Decq, whose own project site publishes neither the count nor the address, and whose price-from differs from its agent’s by EUR 275,000. Casa Burés, 26 residences in a Berenguer house of 1900, is published with its tenure open because no party entitled to say the homes were sold has said it. For rent: Majestic Residence (28), Suites Avenue (41, Toyo Ito, 2009), Murmuri Residence Concepció and Mercer’s five duplexes in the Palau Moxó. Marriott’s own press release calls Casares “Marriott’s first branded residence in the country”, which is operator-side evidence that the gap in Barcelona is real and not merely unfound.

The register publishes the facts and the rule; it does not say whether any purchase qualifies. Eligibility attaches to a sale, not to a building, and the register is not immigration counsel.
