The Algarve's first W, and its residential half. W Residences Algarve is eighty-three apartments at Sesmarias, on the cliffs above Praia da Galé west of Albufeira: one- to three-bedroom flats including duplexes, and a single four-bedroom penthouse, most of them facing the Atlantic. The developer is Nozul Algarve, S.A.; Marriott licenses the name and operates the hotel beside them, and the residences run as an apartment hotel in their own right.
The licence is stated on the brand's own page, which is worth recording because it so often is not: the W Residences are licensed, not owned, developed or sold by Marriott. Sizes and prices are not published by either party, and the register carries neither rather than repeating a broker's figure.
Who it is not for
Not for a buyer who wants a quiet coast: this is Albufeira, and the beach below is a busy one.
