Admitted on architecture, not on price. Antti Lovag built almost nothing else at this scale, and Le Palais Bulles is the defining work of what he called habitology — about 1,200 square metres of spheres with no straight walls, above the Bay of Cannes. Pierre Cardin owned it for decades.
It has been offered above €300 million repeatedly and repeatedly not sold. A price a market has declined to meet for years is evidence about the ask rather than about the house, and the register records it in the field for asks.
It joins Cherry Hill and N°001 Minami Aoyama on the short list of houses this register holds for their architect rather than their number — because a register that admits houses on price alone is a listings aggregator.
Who it is not for
Not for a buyer who wants a conventional house: there are no straight walls and no orthodox rooms, and that is the point. Not for anyone reading the €300m as a value — it is an unmet ask of long standing.
