Aman Residences, the villas at Amanjiwo

Borobudur, Central Java. Aman. Four villas above the largest temple complex in the world.

Editorial entry · sources recorded · property confirmation pending

Four villas above Borobudur, the largest Buddhist temple complex in the world, in the stone arcs of Amanjiwo in the Menoreh Hills of Central Java — each a set of pavilions around an old tree with an 18-metre pool, built in the resort's monolithic idiom, which is itself an homage to the temple.

Aman's own page is the only source, and it does not say whether the four are built or planned, what title they carry, or at what price. The record is held on that single source because it is the brand's own; the place, Borobudur, was requested of the atlas and issued on 23.09.2026 (BA-P-0396).

Who it is not for

Not for a buyer who needs more than the brand's word: no independent source describes the villas.

Aman Residences, Amansamar in Wadi Safar — 34 villas on plots of at least 9,000 square metres, from USD 25 million — is not, as one agent says, Aman's first in the Kingdom: Aman Hegra came earlier. Raffles Residences Diriyah is named in every Diriyah release and described in almost none. Nobu Residences Al Khobar puts the chef's name on one of two towers only.
